About Beth Partin
A city girl at heart, I also love edges. Shorelines, for instance, or a meadow surrounded by trees. The most interesting things happen in these liminal places. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, went to Georgetown University for undergrad and the University of Colorado for grad school in English. I lived in Colorado for almost thirty years and I have just moved back to Denver. I started taking photographs in 1985 with my new Nikon FM2, a camera that was fully manual except for the meter. I took photos for a few years (some of them are on this site) and then stopped because I couldn't afford photo processing while I was in grad school.
