Dragon Boat Festival occurs on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. The Festival commemorates the death of poet Qu Yuan in ancient China. The celebrations include eating rice dumplings (ZongzI)- local people who admired him threw food into Miluo River to feed the fish so that they would not eat his body. In addition, people also drink realgar wine, wear perfumed medicine bags and race Dragon Boat.
